https://www.tentrr.com/Tentrr wants to take the hassle out of camping. Launched in 2016, the app lets users find and book upscale campsites on private land. When guests arrive, they find their hand-sewn canvas tent already set up, so their vacation starts that much sooner. The average nightly rate is $144.

https://www.hipcamp.com/discover/new-york/new-york-city/Hipcamp aims to help people find and book campsites by promoting the concept of “land sharing.” Similar to how Airbnb lists vacation rentals, private land owners can list ranches, farms, vineyards and nature preserves for rent on Hipcamp, and campers can browse by location, pricing and availability.

Hipcamp lists 10,000 private campsites nationwide — ranging from private land and public campsites to cabins and tiny homes — and it’s adding thousands more every month.

“Land sharing is a way to really share the beautiful ecosystem and natural habitat with other people who really care about nature,” said Hipcamp CEO Alyssa Ravasio, who started building the website as a passion project in 2013.
